This best friends romance features the wealthy hunk and his shy best friend. They've known each other most of their lives, but never crossed the lines, even though, unbeknownst to her, he's wanted her for years. She has been sheltered and isn't comfortable with the attention she's getting from everyone at school now that he's made it known she belongs to him. It's a nice sweet story that ends on a somewhat of a cliffhanger. It is a short story and can be read in less than an hour. Perfect as a light quick read when you're short on time. There were a few editing errors that I noticed... several 'her/she' or 'his/him' when it was meant to be the opposite. The style of writing was different than what I'm used to. Many times it changed POV's from one paragraph to the next, so sometimes I was halfway through the paragraph before I realized it was his perspective instead of her's or visa versa. The sexual content is pretty mild, so I would say it would be ok for 16+.Product details

I really liked! It was great how realistic it was. Doesn't it always happen that when a girl finally gets a boyfriend all of a sudden other guys find an interest in her as well. It's like it just takes one guy and poof. It's like magic LoL. I love the relationship between Hadrian and Gaby. They took care of each other. Each providing what the other needed. Hadrian needed someone to see him for who he really is, instead of seeing dollar signs and Gaby needs someone to boost her self worth and confidence. Who better than a confident, handsome, and rich man. Can't wait to read more. Keep them coming!
The story desperately needed someone to proof read & edit it. In one instance Gabby was on the worktable & the next second it said on the bed. I would like to know what happens at the end but the story just cuts off. I wish the author would finish the story.
Friends turned lovers is usually enjoyable, but when one half is way more experienced and demanding (Hadrian), it's hard to imagine/believe that Gabby would be so swept off her feet. Hadrian went from 0 to 60 and it's just too fast. Especially when Ms. Tee is introducing the appealing "monkey wrench" into their blossoming relationship.
If things just slowed down...there might be something meaningful to discover.
An editor is sorely needed to manage continuity.
Oh such a sweet romantic story. Of a boy and girl who grew up together a as best friends. They are there for each other they are like brother and sister. Well that is what she thinks. But secretly her best friend wants her for himself. Does he love her, yes. Does she know, nope no clue. Till he kisses her. Oh what at hot steamy kiss it was! So what happens to their to them now? You throw in other guys wanting her and her bf boyfriend gets upset and stakes claim.
They story line is great. How many of us out there been in this situation? Must read! Only I don't like is it is a short story and leaves me with questions. Like do they stay together? Does she give it up to him? Does he really love her? What happens!?
I want more of them!!
Lousy, lazy writing, badly edited (if at all). Imperfect English on top of that. Here's an egregious and graphic example "her penis". Poor plot. Expected teen romance, I got smut, er, erotica.
Claims to be a NYT bestselling author? I don't know. I searched the NYT for 'Marian Tee', I searched her own website (the news page) for 'New York Times' and 'NYT', I found no confirmation on Google. I went through the Wikipedia NYT bestseller lists back to 2000. I found no mention.
I do not enjoy rubbishing any author, but felt that a fair warning was necessary in this case.
This book is divided into two parts. In part one, there are two POVs. In part two, there are two additional POV's, though their perspectives are brief and don't really add anything to the story. This is a somewhat likable, new-adult friends-to-lovers (quickie) story, but the POV switches from Hadrian to Gabby's perspective without any real transition in between scenes. Also, there are some very noticeable editing issues. Overall, the steamy scenes are very hot, but this story doesn't focus on anything other than the two lead characters getting comfortable with their new relationship status. I'm uncertain as to what the final outcome of the story is supposed to be since it ended so unexpectedly, but maybe that's the curve this author was going for.
So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.
